FRIDAY!!! This has been another long week. But now it's nearly over.
I wonder if I'm the only one in the world who uses their hair straightener as an iron to press the hems of their pants?? Because it works great.
I'm super mad at Bingo Blitz, even though I know it's dumb to be mad at a game. But I just can't finish this board and it's frustrating me. And it is nearly impossible to level up when I need so much XP. This is my sad life, being mad at a facebook game. Maybe tomorrow I will finish the board and level up.
It's the day before Friday!! This has been a long week, but it's almost over. I can't even believe how busy I am at work. And I'm about to get busier. I hope this means the days go faster!
Yes, I'm wearing 2 sweaters today. Because that's how I roll. Or something like that. I'm loving the weather because I haven't had to turn the AC on yet, and the heat is off. So, lower bills for a month! One I turn on the air conditioner than my electric bill will shoot up. So if I could put that off for just a bit longer....
It's hard to see someone you care about go through hard times. But there are no problems that are insurmountable! I realize that sometimes I seem a tad bit too optimistic, but I know that problems are made to be solved and that there are always answers. And since there are always answers, I will figure it out. Always!!!
Tuesday.....yesterday was a really long day. But it's over and one day closer to Friday! Todays hairstyle is simply called "I don't care", because it looks like I simply don't care.
This weekend I think C-C-W and I are going shopping for the stuff to make our outfits for Pride. We've been talking about it for the past couple of years that we've gone to the parade, about how we should make costumes. But we always ran out of time. This year I think we are actually going to get it done. Maybe. We are both sort of procrastinators, but this year we are determined!
The good morning texts really are the highlight of my day. Just thought you should know that.
Another Monday. I went to bed early last night, but still hit my snooze button about 17 times too many. My allergies are killing me! The coughing just won't stop. I think I want winter back.
I had a great weekend. An early happy hour Friday, followed by pajamas and netflix. And then working on cleaning my car Saturday. It's a project, my car is terrible. But it is 11 years old. Although that's not really an excuse for letting it get so terrible. I know most of it isn't my mess, but it is my car. And now I'm determined to keep it clean!
N is on vacation this week, so that is going to be challenging. He doesn't really understand that I have routines in place and need to follow them. You'd think after living with me for so long he would understand that. But instead he gets mad when the sound from the treadmill interferes with his video game noise and he doesn't really understand that I eat dinner so early so that I can fit in the treadmill and a shower before I go to bed early. So, yes, it's going to be a long week.
It's Friday.....I'm going to spend the day listening to the Prince songs I have on my iTunes. While I understand he didn't want his music on youtube, I really wish more of it was available. I guess I will have to go home and pull out all my cd's.
The day before Friday!! Tonight the Princess and I are getting haircuts and doing dinner. And grocery shopping. Tomorrow night is an early happy hour. Hopefully Saturday will be finishing my car. Or sitting on the couch in my pajamas. Who knows?
I can't decide if I should call todays hairstyle "Throw in a bunch of bobby pins and hope they stick" or "I've just completely given up". It's terrible and horrible and messy.
Last night the Princess and I cleaned the living room. Like cleaned-cleaned. I hate cleaning. And she made my lunch for me. She really is the sweetest kid ever. I also got a load of laundry done. One less to do this weekend. I wish the dryer dried faster so I could do laundry faster.
I have meetings all morning and it's 117 degrees in my office.
Chopping off my nails and taking a break from the gel light is really helping my cuticles. They are like a hundred times better. I'm going to stick to regular polish until my nails grow back out. Although this green glitter crap has to go. Hopefully I will have time Thursday to take it off.
Tuesday! Last night I had an awesome dinner with fantastic company and I have Olive Garden leftovers for lunch. Sort of like the best day ever! The only thing that would make it better would be if I were to win the stupid last item on level 2 of the Bingo Blitz Mothers Day board. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed!!
Day 3 and my car is still clean! This makes me very, very happy. And perhaps this weekend we shall tackle the carpets. Me in a clean car......weird!
Monday!! I had a great weekend. Grilled lobster and steak Friday night, along with some excellent boxed wine and then Saturday night on my couch in my pajamas. Yesterday the Princess bought me a green tea frappuccino. Super yummy!
My house was 77 degrees when I left this morning. I am so debating about turning on the AC. I hate when it's that hot inside.
My car is like almost clean. It looks fantastic! I'm so excited! Thank you Mr. Car Cleaner Guy!! You are the bestest!
FRIDAY!! I'm wearing sandals for the first time this season and I'm so excited about it. Tonight I am pulling out all my flip flops!! I think Sunday I will pull out all my capri's.
Yesterday I ordered 2 different kinds of cuticle oil from Amazon. My cuticles are either going to be fixed or I'm going to be a greasy mess. Probably both.
Yesterday I tried the new coffee M & M's. I will not be buying them because they are pretty much one of the best things ever. I think I might like them more skittles. Well, probably not, but close!!
I'm back to wearing the arthritis wrist support brace. Getting old sucks! I should not have to deal with arthritis until I'm like 70. I hate wearing the brace because it's hot and icky. So now I'm back to the internal "Do I want to pay for a cortisone shot" debate. Gotta love high deductible health care!!
It's the day before Friday! I got super close to getting caught up on my emails and paperwork yesterday. Today I will tackle my follow ups.
I need to find a cure for my dry cuticles. Nothing I have tried has helped. I resorted to Neosporin, but in typical Jennie fashion I lost the tube. Because that's what I do. No lotions or oils or treatments seem to be working. My nails, once destined for greatness, are now painful. I guess I will have to try to keep the color on longer and spend less time under the gel light. And prayer, since I guess I haven't tried that yet.
Wednesday!! If anyone needs me I will be hiding out in my office since I accidentally-on-purpose wore jeans with holes in them. And I left my coffee in my car and I'm not walking down 4 flights of stairs to get it. Because that seems like too much effort for 6:30 am.
I have a lot of work to get through today. But I am determined to get it done and get caught up!
So my nails are a mess. I've been biting my cuticles. Not my nails, but my cuticles. And it hurts and I'm not sure why I'm doing it. I'm assuming the alcohol I use with the gel polish is super drying, and then....Anyhow, it has to stop.

Today my goal is to get caught up on my emails. I spent all day yesterday processing commissions and didn't even check my email. So today that is my focus.
Monday.....blah.....Ihad to stop and get a cinnamon vanilla latte, and that may be the only way I make it through today. It's only 6:30 and I already need a nap. And a shot of tequila. Although that would make the 8 hours of commission transactions I'm going to do today even more tedious and time consuming. I also have to cut apart 500 raffle tickets and make the containers for the raffle tickets. Before 8 am. Is it Friday yet?
Friday!! Yay! It's been a long week and I am so looking forward to my pajamas and netflix tonight. I have needed this for so long! I've been going out way too much. And as much as I love going out, I really need time in.
I've been playing Draw Something with The Princess, and I have realized I am a terrible artist! I am pretty good with glitter and glue sticks, but I am not so good at drawing random things on my phone. How do you even draw Taylor Lautner???
The day before Friday! the day before Pajamas and Netflix day!! I am so looking forward to a night of doing nothing. It's been a long week. And it's getting longer. Today I have a 4 hour long meeting and I also need to begin a new job duty - processing personal lines commissions. I've done it before and it's not hard. It's just very, very time consuming. Thank Youtube for music because it may be the only way I maintain what little sanity I have left.
Wednesday!! And I am currently accepting explanations on why I stayed up until 11 playing Candy Crush. Because I have no idea why I would do such a dumb thing. Is being on level 1404 an accomplishment or just really, really sad??
It's 128 degrees in my office today. On NCIS last night Agent Gibbs turned up the heat to make a hostage-taker-guy uncomfortable enough to let the hostages go. Is this a hint that I should take today off? I would consider it if I didn't have so much work to do.
Tuesday.....Even though I was sleeping by 9:30, I'm still super tired. I feel like I need a nap, but I will have to settle for 18,000 cups of coffee.
I'm super excited about having almost 2 weeks off in July. Well, 8 & 1/2 work days. My sister is coming to visit from Maine. And my nephew. My little baby nephew who is now 5'8. Time flies. He's probably too old for crayons and legos.
I watched a bunch of nail polish videos last night and am debating about trying a couple of the ideas. I wish I wasn't so messy. Whenever I try something new I end up with nail polish on my clothes and hair and pretty much everywhere except my nails.
Monday....I had a great weekend. Friday night it was my couch,
pajamas and NCIS. I am on season 3. Saturday night was the Mode Haus runway
show. I got to see some beautiful wedding dresses. Chelsea does beautiful work.
I also got to see my Godson, Baby E. He has the most adorable big blue eyes.
ZarahZou also gave me 2 awesome presents. One from her and one from her
parents. Bags full of hotel soaps and shampoos and lotions. I so love these
things! Hotel soaps are one of my most favorite things.
Next Saturday night is bar bingo and
karaoke. And probably lots of alcohol if I'm going to sing.
FRIDAY! It's been a long, busy week. I am so looking forward to my pajamas and the couch tonight! I really need that. Tomorrow night is the runway show. My outfit is ready, and the Princess said my top is trendy and fashionable. I think it's closer to "Hi, I'm 10 & 1/2 months pregnant", but she says flowy is fashion. So, I'm going with it. I'm also looking forward to seeing ZarahZou. I don't think a ZennieZou/ZarahZou selfie exists, so I need to remember to take one.
Last night I had a fantastic dinner with a great friend. He made homemade pizza. As in, he actually made the pizza sauce himself. It was phenomenal. And I'm stealing the sauce recipe. I can't wait to recreate it.
