FRIDAY!!! It's been a really long short week. I'm very glad for the 3 day weekend. Time to do laundry and rest and hopefully get rid of this stupid cough. And sleep. I need sleep. No matter what I take, the cough keeps waking me up. It seems to be lessening in intensity (knock on wood) and I bet a good 8-10 hours straight of sleep would most definitely help!

On Christmas I won this adorable Hawaiian picture frame playing the dice game. As a bonus, it smells delicious! It's floral scented! So last night I went through my big box of pictures looking for one of me and the Princess to put into it. But I couldn't find one. I have no recent printed pictures. So I settled for this one of her and 2 of her aunts until the next time I order from Snapfish or something.

Last night I slept for a record 23 minutes. This cough is just too much. I've tried Mucinex, NyQuil, decongestants, expectorants, suppressants.....Now I am trying Augmentin. Fingers crossed!

I had to repaint my nails last night. Here's to hoping that the color change doesn't cause us to lose to the Bears. But at least if we do, we will know it's all the fault of OPI and chipping nail polish.

I have exactly 127 loads of Lula laundry to do this weekend. I sort of let it pile up a bit, and now it's nearing overwhelming. So, therefore, my New Years Eve plans involve the laundromat.

Wednesday and back to work after a nice, long weekend. For the record, and since my blog is the official record, I have slept a grand total of 7 hours in the last 5 nights. Every single time I fall asleep, I wake up coughing. I am so sick of being sick. If "Hit by a Bus" becomes the new epitome of high fashion, I am finally going to be runway ready.

I had a very good Christmas, despite being sick. I pretty much won life when I opened 25 pairs of socks. Probably the greatest gift ever. and they are all fun. Stripes, polka dots, florescents..... Also, speaking of winning presents, I scored maybe the greatest smelling candle in the history of candles at my sisters while playing the dice game. It's honey-scented. Like real honey. I didn't even know it was possible. I am in love!

Today's lazy Lula is a stripey-floral Lynnae with a solid red Lindsay over it. Pro-tip: throw a Lindsay over anything and knot it over your midsection to hide any flabby-muffin top issue.

 The long weekends Lula included 2 pairs of Santa leggings, a white-glitter-sweater Lindsay, a candy cane striped Lula and some florals and paisleys.

Another day, another dollar, another war, another tower......

It's Friday. I'm so glad I'm going to have a couple days off to rest and hopefully get rid of this congestion. It's only 7 am and I'm already for a nap. I do get to leave a bit early today which is good since I still have some shopping to do. And I haven't been to Target in over a week! I'm going through withdrawal. I hope they haven't forgotten about me. Usually I'm there 3 times a week. or more.

I need to figure out what to do with my bangs. I want to grow them out, but eyebrows suck. I hate waxing. I hate tweezing. I hate anyone else messing with them. Why are they even necessary?

Thursday....I went to bed last night at 7:00 because I thought some extra sleep would help to ward off the sickness I felt was coming. It didn't work. I woke up super duper sick. Ugh! At least if I get through the next two days, I will have a 4 day weekend to rest and recover. This sucks. I always seem to get sick around holidays and vacations and special events.

Nothing else to say today. Work to get done before the end of the year. Today's Lula is an Irma with jeans. I need to remember that no matter how cute it is, an XL Irma is just too XL. The sizing is so strange. A medium is my preferred Lula Irma size. But at a regular store, I need at least an XL. Why couldn't they size their clothing correctly?? Or size them by letters or numbers or something? Especially since the sizing is not consistent between styles.

Wednesday! The week is almost half over. I had a lot of fun hanging out with ZarahZou last night. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. She makes me giggle a lot.

I got this fantastic peach lotion in my Ipsy bag a few months back and just finally tried it. I am in love! The smell is fantastic! It's a bit greasy, but the smell more than makes up for that!

Ok, today's Lula. I've had this lace Lindsay for a couple months and could not find anything to really match it. Last night at ZZ's Lula Birthday party, I picked up a solid black Lynnae and the perfect leggings to make this an outfit. I will admit that the leggings are a tad bit bright for work, but they are super fun and the colors are great together.

Tuesday....Tonight is Sarah's Lula themed birthday party. I'm super excited to hang out and have girl time. And cupcakes! Lula and cupcakes and friends?!?! Pretty much a perfect night!

I'm pretty sure I'm getting sick. Because why wouldn't I be with a holiday coming up? Only me, always me. I see lots of Mucinex in my future.

Monday! I had a pretty good weekend. I got to watch 473 hours of Netflix and I got to see the Vikings win! What more could I ask for? I've been watching Heartland on Netflix, and it is such a sweet show. Wholesome is really the only word I can use to describe it. I'm very much enjoying it as a break from drama and murder shows. I'm on season 4, and I hope it never ends.

Today's Lula is a slate blue and dark gray Irma paired with black pants and black suede boots. I got an email that I can wear jeans for the rest of the year, but since I only have 2 pairs of jeans that fit, that just isn't an option. And leggings are so much more comfortable than jeans!

Friday! It's been a rather long week. Trying to get caught up after a few days off is hard!

I got my latest Ipsy shipment yesterday. It came with what sounded like a great product, a coffee body scrub. So I just had to try it out. And yeah, I ended up with coffee grounds in my hair, on the ceiling and up my nose. I was only trying to scrub my legs with it. I'm way too much of a mess for a body scrub product like that. In better news, the bathtub got a nice, caffeinated wash down.

This weekends agenda includes the laundry that I didn't get done this week, some work, and a couple naps.

So I can't be the only one who hates Christmas music. I can tolerate 2-3 songs in a row. Last night I was subjected to 3 hours worth of someone dreaming of a white Christmas. No!! We don't want a white Christmas because that means snow and 3 hour long commutes! It can still be Christmas without a snowflake in sight! Anyhow, I love music. But just not the holiday-themed music for 3 hours straight. Does that make me a heathen? Maybe. But please no more Silver Bells!

Painted faces, fill the places I can't reach....

It's Wednesday. I am so tired. I have so much to do at home, I have at least 700 loads of laundry. I'm almost tempted to throw some of my Lula in the dryer just to get it all done. I'll have to give that some more thought, I don't want to ruin my clothes. But I also don't want drying racks all over the place for 6-8 weeks until I get it all done. These decisions.....

Last night I watched the latest episode of The Walking Dead. ******SPOILER ALERT***** I'm getting kind of bored with it. I really only still watch it for a few reasons. I love Maggie, she is not only a bad ass, but her and Glenn are going to have the most adorable baby. I can't wait for that! I also watch because I'm really concerned about Judith. Someone needs to call CPS! That kid is always MIA and no one seems to be in charge of her care. Who is watching her? And why aren't they teaching her to protect herself? I've also been waiting for someone to punch Crybaby Carl right in the face. And, in a way, I guess that happened. Sorry, Carl. I know you're a kid, but you needed some discipline. If you would have listened to your elders, you would not have taken the ultimate punch to the torso. Although I'm wondering if he's gone or if they are going to find some way around it. I also watch for tips and tricks for fighting zombies. And that has been very lacking. I don't think a single walker got their brains stabbed out last night. How am I supposed to prepare for the real Zombie Apocalypse if I don't have proper training??

Back to work. It's only 5 am in Cali, so I should still be sleeping! Only 140 emails, so that's not too bad. I'll get through those in no time! Well, not no time, but only several million hours. And 37 missed calls. Not sure how many voice mails, I'm afraid to check.

I had a fantastic time seeing the Princess. And she was totally surprised that C-H came with since C-H has never been on an airplane and is afraid to fly. I think the Princess needed BFF time more than she needed mom time, so I was happy to share her and just spend the time relaxing and watching them hang out and listening to their giggling. The time went by way too fast. It was sad to leave her, but she seems to be doing well and is happy out there. What more could I ask for?

I didn't take any pictures of my Cali-Lula, but aside from a pair of jeans and a Vikings sweatshirt, that is all I brought with me. So light and easy to pack! Today I am doing a pair of fun, flowery leggings, an Irma and a solid black Lindsay. But I had to take the Lindsay off because it's at least 150 degrees in my office.

It's Wednesday!! But it's also my Friday! Back to Cali in less than 24 hours! I so need a vacation! and I'm getting almost nearly close to caught up with my work!

Vacations and shopping sprees, these are a few of her favorite things

Tuesday....today I'm going to work on the expense report and commissions and get those all wrapped up so tomorrow I can just do general email and follow up housecleaning so I'll be already for California!! I can't wait to leave the cold and snow!

Last night a brand new pair of my LulaLeggings ripped. I'm rather disappointed, although I have had really good luck. Out of at least 150 pairs, only 3 have ripped or gotten holes. At least these were a free gift pair.

Today's Lula is a solid black Irma from the Noir collection, a solid red sheer Lindsay and leggings that are black with red polka dots. The Lindsay looks coraly in the picture, but it is a true red. I was super excited for the black Irma, but the fabric seems cheaper than my other Irma's. It's way thinner. Oh, well. At least I'm super matchy-matchy.

I've sailed a thousand ships.....

It's Monday.....I may be still slightly hungover from our post-funeral trip to the bar on Friday. I usually don't like Bloody Mary's unless I make them myself and they are 1/2 pickle juice. But Becky ordered one and it was too spicy for her, so I drank it. And it was very good. Then I had several peachy drinks and a Jag bomb. It was horrible, but it was very nice to unwind, and I haven't seen Becky in forever.

The funeral was beautiful and sad. LC was so wonderful. And when she was younger, she looked a lot like Audrey Hepburn. It was a great tribute to her. I will miss her so much.

And then there is 10-2. That could be why my stomach hurts. The anticipation of how this season is going to play out. Being a Vikings fan is so tragically painful to the point where we are so accustomed to things going wrong that it is hard to accept when we are winning. But no matter what, this has been an amazing season.

I colored my hair last night and I went a little too red. I'm not very happy with it, but I guess I'm stuck. At least I got a $5 Target gift card for buying 2 boxes of the dye.
