Wednesday! I got a little bit of my packing for Cali done last night, but I need to get into gear and get it all done! I'm bringing all Lula plus a pair of jeans. Debating about boots. and lip gloss colors. So many decisions to make.

My dad got his new cell phone so I'm going to help him set it up tonight. I instructed him to not even open the box so that he doesn't lock himself out of it again. I can't believe that the company has no way to unlock or reset it. The phone is geared towards seniors with no tech skills. You'd think they'd make it foolproof. Anyhow, I will set it up with my email and phone number as a backup plan so he can't get locked out!

Tuesday....and I've still not made any progress on my packing. I am an expert procrastinator, but generally I'm done packing at least a month in advance. I'm super excited to go, so I don't know what the hold up is.

The weather is perfect! No jacket today! I hope I don't regret that choice when I stop to get gas.

I have lots of stuff to get done today and I also need to maybe dust off my desk. Aside fromt hat exciting update, I have nothing today.

Monday!! I worked from home on Friday and didn't actually get dressed until after 2:30 pm. I did a super good job of working from home and I got a ton of work done. My biggest fear with working from home is that I'll get distracted and binge watch 182 episodes of NCIS instead of working. But, pro-tip: if you don't turn the tv on, it will not distract you! So I was able to get a ton of stuff done.

My weekend was a weekend. I finally started packing for Cali. Because I thought I had 2 weeks. I don't. I leave next Sunday. Like in 6 days. 7 days.  I don't know. Do I count today. Let's start over. I leave on Sunday, March 4th and am running out of time! At least I'm now 42% packed. And my laundry is 83% done.

Including the bonuses I got almost $30 back on my latest Waltrip. (Trip to Walmart, duh!). And I didn't even really buy any things I didn't intend to buy. p.s. the Diet Dr. Pepper deal is epic! And I have a purse full of Tic Tac gum.

Everybody's waitin' for me to arrive......

Tonight is my Norwex party. One of the things I'm most thankful for is the invention of online parties. Back in the day I hosted numerous Tupperware, Pure Romance and Party Lite parties. And it was always so stressful. Is anyone going to show up? Do I have enough food? Is anyone going to buy anything? Am I dressed okay? Is my house clean? Online parties totally eliminate all of that stress, and I love it! Tonight from my couch I will host a party, and I can wear my pajamas! And by pajamas, I obviously mean LulaJammies.

If you are not familiar with Norwex, it is a company that specializes in environmentally safe cleaning products. Yes, I am having a party selling stuff to clean your house. Unfortunately I cannot attest to the claims of the actual cleaning products because I have not used them. Nor do I ever intend to. Because I do not clean.  I can, however, speak to the awesomeness of items such as the stain remover and laundry detergent. They are both amazing. Like for real amazing. And the make up remover cloth is magical! And the hair turban thingy, I love that guy so much! I think my favorite item might be the toothbrush. And I love the Lip Shimmers. Yes, Norwex sells lip gloss! Anyhow, I'm sure the cleaning products are great. But I'm not going to start cleaning just to find out. I'll stick to the Norwex items I know I love. 

I can't believe that I haven't started packing yet. I need to get on it! I have a ton of stuff to bring the Princess so I have to make sure I can make it all fit. I found her a couple of super cute pairs of socks with cats on them. And she obviously needs some Lula. I'm bringing her all of my large Shirleys. She likes big and flowy. I don't.

Wednesday! Last night I attended a middle school band/orchestra concert. It's been a long time since I went to one. I sort of forgot how newly-instrumented kids sound. Actually, the orchestra was not bad. A couple of the violin or viola players (who knows the difference between the two) were really quite good. None of the screeching that is typical in 6th grade solos. I was impressed!

Following that, dinner at Applebees. $7.99 hamburgers and a bonus $2 off coupon for next time because of an MDA donation. And a shamrock hanging up with my name on it. I'm almost famous.

It's the springtime of my life.....

So yesterday when I woke up, I shut my alarm clock completely off and forgot to turn it back on. That means I woke up a bit late this morning. Even with a couple extra minutes of sleep I'm still tired. Yesterday I left work when it started to snow and I worked from home for the rest of the day. I got a surprising amount of work done. I was rather impressed with myself for being able to stay on task. Maybe I can adult!!

I still have not been able to unlock my dad's cell phone. I finally got his gmail account unlocked, but the phone won't take that email. Even though the Jitterbug people told me that was the email address. This phone is supposed to be easy for seniors, but I'm so beyond frustrated with it. I can't even imagine someone without any tech knowledge trying to work it.

Another Monday.....I had a good weekend. I binged on netflix and finished the latest season of Grace and Frankie and the first season of Everything Sucks. Both are very good. Everything Sucks is set in the 90's and the music is fantastic. So many good songs! The show itself is maybe a little too  young for me, but I can be pretty immature sometimes so maybe it's just right.

That's really all I accomplished this weekend unless lunch at La Casita can be considered an accomplishment??? Oh, and I kicked (accidentally, of course) the bedpost and broke a toenail. It was tragic because now I need to postpone any planned pedi until there is something to put polish on.

It's supposed to snow later this morning. If that happens, I think I'll leave early and work from home and get some of these commission statements processed.

It's Friday!!!! I am so very happy about that! It's been a long week.

I just ordered some orthopedic shoes. I think I may be getting old. Hopefully they will help. I've started using a TENS unit on my foot and calf, in addition to the ice and night splint and stretching exercises. Eventually something has to work, even if it means orthopedic shoes.

Tomorrow morning I am going to go and help my dad figure out yet another "smart" phone. This should be an interesting experience. I'm going to have to google the phone first and figure it out so i can help him get the screen unlocked. That's where he's stuck.

Yesterday I had cake for breakfast and I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not bringing a piece to work for today. I've failed.

I had a great night last night, my cake turned out super yummy and pretty with the candy hearts. And dinner was amazing. I love steak and shrimp.

Ok, if I need to venture into the left lane to pass you, you are driving way too slow. I am quite content going the speed limit. I have never gotten a speeding ticket, and I don't ever intend to. So if I need to pass you, then you most definitely need to speed up!

I wanted to do laundry last night, but the new neighbor was doing hers. Apparently she didn't get the memo that I have first dibs on the machine and she needs to check with me first to make sure I don't need it. She'll catch on.

It's Valentines Day. Or as I like to call it, another Wednesday. I do have a special dinner planned for tonight, but I also have a hot date with my podiatrist. I hope this time he can do somethign to fix me besides taping my foot together. This is a very expensive out-of-pocket adventure, so I hope I can end up pain free. Or with less pain.

So, the podiatrist guy taping my foot is going to cost me $65. My biggest life regret is going to be not taking a handful of the peppermints off the desk. I don't even like peppermints, but I just paid $65 for 32 cents worth of tape at retail price. I should have gotten free peppermint candies! And that doesn't include the x-rays and office visit. I hate high deductible health care. But I just eased my pain by buying some more Lipsense colors.

Las nights dinner at Sam's was fantastic. He made waffles and bacon and sausage and hash browns....so yummy! I love breakfast for dinner. and I got to see people I haven't seen in forever.

Monday! I only managed to get one load of laundry done this weekend. But I did buy a new sofa and love seat, so there's that. And I took lots of naps. I very much love naps. Tonight is dinner at Casa de Sam. I haven't seen CCW since December and I haven't seen Mandy and Jolane in like 27 years, so it will be nice to see them. And Sam's making breakfast for dinner, so yum!

I am totally in love with all of my new LipSense colors. I really like the products and am glad I tried them. But they are spendy! Although I think it's worth it.

I had to order a new comforter from Amazon last night. And a new bottle of OPI Lincoln Park After Midnight. I opened up my leggings/nail polish cabinet and the bottle fell out and hit the dresser and broke and nail polish flew all over the dresser and the bed. I love the color, but not streaked on my blankets. I was very sad, mostly about the polish. I may or may not have ordered the polish before the comforter. Priorities. Also, acetone will remove the polish from the dresser and it will also remove the stain. If you use it on your comforter, it will smear the polish and leave big purple splotches. Also, if you have a paper cut on your hand, the nail polisher remover will sting.

Today's Lula is a Lynnae and leggings. I put the Lynnae on backwards. On purpose. And I like it that way. No cleavage and more work appropriate.

Yesterday to go shopping, I wore a Julia knotted up into a tunic-type top. Totally loved it this way! I'm not entirely sure that my polka dots and flowers matched, but I was comfortable. And I like polka dots and flowers.

It's Friday! I have a weekend of laundry ahead of me. Yay! My hair looks greasy because it is greasy. It's Friday and I didn't feel like showering. Also, eyebrows suck. I'd take a picture of mine today, but I don't want to become a meme.

This is how I must sleep at night, with this horrible splint thing on. It's uncomfortable and awful, but I think it's working.

Tomorrow is Friday! I was sleeping soundly by 8:45 last night so I don't know why I'm so tired. A small part of me wants to care that my hair looks like I haven't brushed it in 2 weeks. But the larger, louder part of me just doesn't care. I know it's clean, I washed it last night. So that's all that matters. Combing it is optional.

Also, I spent way too long internally debating today about whether or not my leggings have black or navy in them. That's probably why I'm so tired, an early morning fight in my brain about which boots will match better. I went with black. I think I won.

Wednesday!! And I see a stop at target in my future. Since it's pretty much the best place ever. I'm also seeing BLT's for dinner. I should be making a grocery list. But it's so much more fun to shop there without a list and without a plan so I can leave with eleventy-million dollars worth of items that I need.

I'm so ready to start packing for Cali! I need a vacation. I really miss the Princess, and I really need to get away for a few days. Plus, California.....

Tuesday....I may or may not have ordered a couple of additional LipSense lip colors. There were a couple more I wanted to try and there was a sale and......I needed something fun to try to get out of this winter slump I'm in. And lipstick is definitely fun for me!

I need to invent a mobile gas delivery business that will deliver gas for your car and put it in so you don't have to stop at the gas station when it's 80 below zero. I really need to fill my tank. But it's so cold.

Before I know it, Saturday's gone....

Another Monday.....my weekend was okay. I got a lot done. I finished my dad's taxes and got my oil changed. I did a load of laundry and finished cleaning up the mess I made with my closet. After all that, I settled in to watch the Super Bowl. I do have to admit that it was a pretty good game. It's hard when you really want both teams to lose. But I'm okay with the ending. The half time show was not the best I've seen, except for the Prince tribute. I'm very glad that was included, and I must say it made me a tiny bit teary. Prince was an amazing talent.

I got my  new orthotics and they are not terrible. It's weird to have them in my shoes, but they are not super uncomfortable. I think I'll be able to wear them. I also found a sling that I can sleep in. It's less bulky than the first one I got and I know it will help.

I booked my next trip to Cali for March. I'm very excited to both get away and to see the Princess. This time her and B are picking me up from the airport. It was hard to coordinate schedules, but I think, I got worked out. I'll be landing in CA at 11 PM. Their time.

I found a color semi-similar to Katherine Heigl's in Knocked Up. The color is Bella from LipSense. I like it, but it was pretty spendy. It's supposed to last all day. I guess we will see!

Do you think time would pass me by?

So the podiatrist yesterday.....I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and bone spurs on the inside and outside of my heels. That is why walking is so painful. I have to continue the ice bottle regime, add in some other stretches and order a specific pair of orthotics. Also, my feet are now taped together in a way that the doctor guy says mimics what the orthotics will do. It just looks plain strange to me. But what do I know?  I need to leave them taped for 3-5 days and then go back in 2 weeks. I ordered the orthotic inserts last night via Amazon Prime, which is pretty much the best invention ever. I've definitely saved my annual fee in shipping costs.
